Community, reports and appeals

Your public identity

Choose a public name and handle before publishing, reviewing, commenting, reacting or making a profile public. You can change them in Profile settings. Previous handles stay reserved to your account and old links continue to your current handle. Existing contributors are asked to confirm their identity before their next public contribution.

Take part respectfully

Discuss the work without harassment, threats, targeted abuse, impersonation or sharing someone’s private information. Respect creators’ rights. Mark spoilers and follow chapter discussion controls. Following people and stories, private preferences, reading, notes, reports and account-data requests do not require a public identity.

Report a concern

Use Report on a book page, in the reader, on a review, comment or profile. Describe the concern and the relevant passage. Reader reports include the edition and chapter. For copyright concerns you can contact Support without signing in; provide the work, the book or chapter link, the material at issue and a way to contact you.

Understand a decision

Dismissing a report closes that report without restoring content. Delisting removes discovery, samples, new acquisition and new retelling creation while existing reading access remains. Blocking reader access also prevents entitled reading and discussion, including older editions. Restoring one restriction does not remove another restriction or reverse an author’s delisting.

Appeal

A moderation decision includes a reason. Use its appeal option to explain why it should change. Moderators record the appeal result and explanation. If suspended, use Account access from the sign-in page to verify your email and view your decision, appeal or manage your data. Ordinary application access stays unavailable until suspension is lifted.
