Publishing and editions
Before publishing
Choose your public name and handle, complete the book details, set its mature classification, and check the publishing requirements. Content warnings are optional. Preview your chapters and cover before you publish. Completing your public identity returns you to your task; choose Publish again when ready.
New editions
Published text is preserved. Revisions to published chapters are grouped into a new edition. Review the chapter selection and change description before releasing it. Readers may continue an older edition, and its discussions remain attached to that edition.
Delisting
Author delisting removes a book from discovery and stops ordinary new acquisition while existing readers keep access. It does not erase published editions or existing retellings. In a paid lineage, a delisted original may still accompany an existing retelling purchase. A moderator’s acquisition restriction overrides that exception.
Classification changes
You can raise the 18+ classification immediately. Once a book has been published, lowering it needs a moderator review. A newer edition or classification change makes an outstanding review stale, so submit a new request for the current book. Draft classifications remain editable.
