Your profile and data

New public identities are not derived from email addresses or automatically copied from sign-in providers. Choose your public name and handle before sharing publicly. Previous handles remain reserved so old links continue to work.

Settings ? Your data provides account exports, operator-reviewed deletion requests and a separate Clear reading progress action. Fresh email confirmation is required for export download and deletion confirmation. Export archives expire after seven days. Suspended accounts can use Account access to request data or appeal.

Deletion and retained records

Deletion removes private drafts and account activity, anonymises your profile and removes public comments and reviews, with empty thread placeholders where needed. Published editions, required attribution, reader entitlements, retelling dependencies and financial or audit records remain. Provider and telemetry follow-up is tracked before completion. A durable erasure record prevents backups from silently restoring deleted private data.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, such as account and profile details, content, preferences, transactions, and support messages. We also collect technical and usage information needed to operate the service, including device, security, and activity records.

How we use information

We use information to provide, secure, maintain, and improve Plotchi; process your requests and transactions; communicate with you; provide support; prevent misuse; and meet legal and financial obligations. We do not sell your personal information or private content.

Sharing and processing

We share information only as needed with service providers that help us operate Plotchi, when you direct us to publish or share content, when required by law, or to protect people, rights, and the service. Providers may process information in countries other than your own. Payment details may be collected directly by a payment provider rather than stored by Plotchi.

Storage and retention

We use reasonable measures to protect information and retain it only for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security and backups, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and why it is held.

Your choices

Email support@plotchi.com to ask about this notice, make a privacy complaint, or request access, correction, export, or deletion. We will verify your identity before acting and may retain limited information where required or permitted by law. We review privacy complaints and respond as soon as reasonably practicable.
