Your profile and publications

Choose a public name and handle before contributing publicly. Reading and private writing do not require a public profile. Published editions preserve their text, and delisting does not remove existing reader access. Moderators may separately block reader access, with a reason and an appeal path.

Retelling permissions and deletion

Enabling retellings grants permanent permission for eligible retellings under the publishing terms you accept. Delisting or account deletion does not withdraw that permission or erase existing retellings. Published editions, source attribution, existing reader entitlements and necessary financial and audit records remain after deletion, with retained authorship shown as Deleted author. A delisted paid original may still accompany an existing retelling purchase unless moderation prevents acquisition.

Using Plotchi

You are responsible for your account, activity, and compliance with applicable laws. Keep your account details current, protect access to your sign-in method, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you create or upload. You give Plotchi the permission needed to store, process, back up, and present that content as you direct through the service. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to your content and for deciding what you publish or share.

Publishing here is non-exclusive. You may export and sell content elsewhere if you hold the necessary rights.

Automated features

Plotchi may provide features that generate, transform, classify, or analyse content. Results may be incomplete or inaccurate. You remain responsible for reviewing results and deciding whether they are suitable for your use.

Payments and credits

Prices, currency, taxes, and any applicable conditions are shown before purchase. Service credits are not cash or transferable unless we expressly say otherwise. For a billing issue, cancellation, or refund request, email support@plotchi.com. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Book purchases and tips are priced in Australian dollars and are available internationally where supported. Your bank may charge currency conversion or international transaction fees.

Author earnings on book sales and tips

For new book purchases and tips, Plotchi takes 15% of the payment excluding applicable customer sales tax. Your earnings are the remaining 85%, less actual payment processing fees. For purchases containing multiple books, processing fees are shared in proportion to each book’s purchase price. Amounts are rounded to whole cents.

Tips are optional support for the author of a free book, including a retelling. They do not buy extra content or change reading access.

Refunds and payment reversals reduce the affected earnings. Processing fees not returned by the processor remain deducted, and any shortfall is carried forward against future earnings. If the affected earnings have already been transferred, we may recover the amount owed from your connected Stripe balance after review. Any remaining shortfall reduces future earnings before further transfers. Earlier purchases retain the fee terms recorded when they were made.

Acceptable use

Do not use Plotchi to break the law, infringe another person’s rights, distribute harmful software, gain unauthorised access, interfere with the service, or evade usage and payment controls. We may remove content or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect people, rights, or the service.

Availability and changes

The service may change over time and may occasionally be unavailable. Keep a current copy of important content. If a material change to these terms requires your agreement, we will ask you to accept the updated terms before continuing the affected activity.
