A home for your fiction
Your next chapter starts here.
Give your story a place to grow. Write chapters, organise characters and world details, and bring in Ghost when you want help exploring an idea. Publish when you’re ready.
Ordinary writing is free. Ghost and cover generation use Credits.
It starts with an idea
The Last Memory Shop
Every Thursday, Mara sold a memory she could live without.
Today, someone arrived asking to buy a memory she hadn’t made yet.
From an idea to a chapter
Make room for the whole story.
- 01 / Write
Start where you are
Open a new book or import a manuscript. Give each chapter its place and keep working in your own words. Your drafts stay private.
- 02 / Organise
Keep your world close
Use Codex for characters, places and story facts. Keep notes and plans alongside the manuscript, ready for the next scene.
- 03 / Share
Choose what readers see
Prepare a cover and description, then publish the chapters you choose. You can also export your manuscript as DOCX, EPUB or Markdown.
Meet Ghost
Another direction to explore.
Ask for ideas, help reviewing continuity or a different approach to a scene. Read the suggestions, check them against your story and choose which changes to apply.
Ghost uses Credits. Responses can be inaccurate; your judgement matters.
How Ghost and Credits workA small place to begin
Give your story a memory of its own.
A story bible keeps track of what is true, what is still an idea and what each character knows. Start with a few useful details and let it grow with your draft.
Use our story-bible template to organise a character, a setting and the rules that hold them together.

What can I do for free?
Create an account, write and edit, organise your story, import and export manuscripts, and publish. Ghost and cover generation use Credits; paid books are purchased separately. See pricing.
Do I have to use AI?
No. You can write and organise your book yourself. Ghost is there when you choose to ask for help.
Can I bring an existing manuscript?
Import a DOCX, Markdown or plain-text file, review its chapter split and choose what to keep. Read the import guide.
Will people see my unfinished writing?
Drafts, notes and Codex entries are private. Publishing shares the manuscript chapters you select. If you use Ghost, relevant writing is processed by an AI service provider. Read Privacy.
Can I publish elsewhere too?
Publishing on Plotchi is non-exclusive. You can export and publish work elsewhere when you hold the necessary rights. Retellings remain subject to their source permissions. Read the terms.
